Canil de Speedwind, home of Preservation Podengos, began with an imported medio-smooth female Podengo in 2003 from Portugal. Two additional males were imported in 2005 with the intent to continue the preservation of this ancient breed.
The first Podengo litter was born in 2007, producing four males and two females. All puppies were registered with the Foundation Stock Service
of the American Kennel Club. One male, Almirante, has won seven titles including: NAKC JR CH, NAKC INT CH, FCI PR CH, FCI PR GR CH,
FCI INT CH, FCI PA CH, and FCI LA CH.
Canil de Speedwind has no current plans
